I'm a MarketWatch columnist and financial author with more than two decades of experience translating complex investing ideas for everyday readers. My columns appear twice a month and regularly attract more than 100,000 views.

Over the years, I've interviewed some of the most influential figures in finance—legendary investors Peter Lynch and John Bogle; acclaimed traders William O'Neil, Linda Raschke, Mark Minervini, Larry Williams, Mark D. Cook, Richard Arms, Tom McClellan, and Gerald Appel; and renowned personal finance experts Suze Orman, Robert Kiyosaki, and Taylor Price, a leading Gen Z voice in financial education.

I've written 10 nonfiction books on investing and personal finance, including two bestsellers—"Understanding Stocks" and "Understanding Options"—each of which has sold more than 100,000 copies and been translated into 13 languages. My most recent book is "Help Your Child Build Wealth" (Wiley).

My background includes research and ghostwriting—producing industry reports, sector analyses, and strategic insights for investment advisory firms. I've created educational articles, white papers, research reports, press releases, and curriculum for some of the world's leading financial firms.

In addition to my column and books, I take on a limited number of writing, research, ghostwriting, and interview-related projects.

Before becoming a full-time writer, I was a teacher—an experience I carry into every piece I write. I've been interviewed on dozens of national radio shows and featured on CNBC and ABC's World News Now, discussing my books and sharing market insights.

Personal

When I'm not writing, I enjoy beaches, shared meals, good music, fashion shows, e-bike rides, and travel. Although I love dogs, my loyal companion is Lizzie, a cautious but fearless indoor-outdoor cat I rescued in 2022.
