Biography

I write easy-to-understand books, articles, and columns about investing and trading in stocks, index funds, mutual funds, ETFs, and options. I’m also a featured financial columnist for MarketWatch. My column on MarketWatch is “Michael Sincere’s Long-Term Trader.” I am also a financial columnist for Equities.com, where I research, write, and interview industry leaders about socially responsible investments (SRI).

I’ve been interviewed on dozens of national radio programs and have appeared on several financial news programs such as CNBC and ABC’s World News Now to talk about my books.

My latest book, Help Your Child Build Wealth (Wiley), will be released in November, 2024.

I am an expert at helping readers of all ages understand complicated financial topics.

Personal: When I'm not writing, I'm riding one of my e-bikes, or traveling, or doing both. Although I love dogs, I have an indoor-outdoor cat, Lizzie, who I rescued in 2022.

I wrote two bestselling books, Understanding Stocks (McGraw-Hill), and Understanding Options (McGraw-Hill). I also wrote All About Market Indicators (McGraw-Hill), Start Day Trading Now (Adams Media), Predict the Next Bull or Bear Market and Win (Adams Media), and Make Money Trading Options (McGraw-Hill). (My books have been translated into 13 languages, with Thai and German being the latest.)

2022: I wrote another edition of Understanding Stocks (McGraw-Hill, 3rd Edition), and also wrote How to Profit in the Stock Market (McGraw-Hill).
